There are certain brands and toys that have stood the test of time, quite simply because they are classic, quality items and most importantly kids love them. That’s why Hey Mummy were very happy to become Ambassadors for Ambi toys, because they tick all those boxes. What perfect timing too, just as Ivy was born. We chose the Ted & Tess pram string to try out first as it is lovely and bright and can be used in a number of ways as baby develops. She seemed to focus really well on it hanging from the bar on her Maxi Cosi car seat, I was able to hang it when the sun hood was pulled over to keep the loops in place.
As she has got a little older I have been able to use it so that it lays across her lap so she can touch it. I hear her little hands grabbing at it when I am driving which is a reassuring sound. It’s also durable, wipe clean plastic so you don’t have to think about cleaning goo off material.
When she’s in her pram and I can see her properly I sometimes undo one of the loops so that she can bring the string close to her face as she likes to try and chew on the teddy’s! Ted and Tess have done the journey to Ireland with us too and helped keep Ivy entertained all the way there and back.
It’s pretty versatile in terms of where you can use it, we have also used it on our bouncer which doesn’t have any other kind of toys dangling on it so it’s been nice to add something fun.
So far this has proved to be one of Ivy’s favourite toys and I would thoroughly recommend it as a great gift for a new baby. There are so many things out there that you can buy for new mums and babies and it can be overwhelming, so I am really pleased to have found something that I have tried, tested and know that is actually going to get a lot of use and not just get chucked in a toy box and forgotten about until the child is too old to want to use it. It will be one of my go to pressies from now on for other mums along with my trusty favourite, giant muslins!
